Artist Info

William Allister was born Oct. 5, 1919, at Benito, Manitoba. He passed away on Nov. 2, 2008 at his home in Delta, B.C. He was 89. His colourful career brought him from his birthplace in Benito, Manitoba to the far corners of the world. He had lived in Mexico, Hong Kong, Japan, Hollywood, New York and Montreal. William's artwork is a wonderful compilation of textures, colours and emotions all combined together to form melodic and meaningful images. Gentle floral compositions echo the soft breeze of the ocean while his powerful abstract images emit strength and energy.

In addition to being a visual artist, William was also a published and award winning author and filmmaker. William's artwork can be found in public, corporate and private collections in Canada, U.S.A., France, South Africa and Mexico.
